Hey there, everyone!
It hasn’t been long since our February update, but today is a monumental day in our team’s history: I’ve completed the translation of the trilogy! The entire series!
Initially, I considered writing a lengthy post to delve into the project’s history, its ups and downs, etc. However, I’ve opted for something more concise, as we’ve already covered most topics over the past three years.
I must express my deepest gratitude to all team members who have been with me since we reassembled in October 2020. Your support at every step has been invaluable, and without you, completing this project wouldn’t have been possible. A huge thank you to Kebab_Jesus, Kobra2112, Lunay, Robbibi, Jack, Zealrot, Mint, Moh, casual_scrub, ClimHazzard, Sinraptor, Villrjester, and FunkyMonkey. Each of you, to varying extents, contributed to this project and played a role in our team’s journey since 2020.
Special thanks are also due to several individuals who have supported me and our team in various ways over the years:
HMN: Your assistance with TLC for Game 1 was invaluable during those early days. Thank you for all your help.
Zakamutt: A constant source of support for TLC, Zakamutt has been my go-to person for discussing and resolving difficult lines. Your willingness to help and non-judgmental attitude have meant the world to me. Thank you, my friend. PS: Here’s his translation group’s link!
Hata: Although no longer part of the team and despite our infrequent communication, Hata played a crucial role in the team’s revival. Your efforts to recruit new members, promote our project, and uplift me during challenging times have left a lasting impact. Thank you for reigniting my passion and hope, Hata.
Arcadeotic: Known the guy since 2016. Arcadeotic has been a consistent support, especially with TLC questions. Your friendship has been steadfast through it all. Here’s to many more years, Arc. PS: Here’s Arc’s translation group link!
My Japanese teacher, Myoujin Hinata, deserves thanks for not only teaching me Japanese but also understanding and supporting my hobbies and aspirations.
I also want to acknowledge Fuwanovel for their keen interest and support of our work, something I’ve never formally thanked them for (incredibly rude from my end, now that I think about it) but deeply appreciate.
Special thanks also to Blueskydreams and his community. Blue has been a huge supporter of us and our work, and he was even open to collaborate with us in many ways, helping others get to know us better. Thank you buddy, here’s to many more collabs in the future.
Shoutout to not only Kinugasa for writing this trilogy, but also to the voices in my head for encouraging me in every step of the way.
While the main games are complete, a few tasks remain:
Redoing Aya’s Route in Game 1: To ensure the trilogy fully reflects our current team’s efforts.
Revisiting Localization Choices in Game 1 for Jokes: Self explanatory.
Redoing Moe’s H-scenes in Game 1: To update older translations.
Translating Kinugasa’s/Tomose’s interview in the Akatsuki 1 fanbook.
Translating the special countdown event for Game 3 on Akabei’s Website.
After these are done, I will consider my work on the trilogy complete.
Having started 6 years ago, I am grateful to the game creators and the writer for introducing me to Japanese media. However, I do not plan to work on any games related to Akabeisoft and its subsidiaries in the future, including the Akatsuki no Goei sequels, Reminiscence and Reminiscence Re:Collect. This decision comes from not only a need to move on after a long period of dedication towards Akabeisoft products, but also Akabeisoft’s (according to my experience, at least) overall negative bias towards anything beyond Japan’s borders and anti-western stance as a company.
Reflecting on our work, the three games together comprise over 2 million charactersβa monumental effort. This final game, in particular, was a massive undertaking. I started in March last year and have worked on it daily since.
I believe I’ve earned a short break after these intense years. It’s been a while since I’ve truly rested, and I look forward to it before starting on Majikoi A+. For those following us for Majikoi A+, the project’s schedule and progress chart will be shared once we begin, likely around April.
Thank you to Akabei, Kinugasa, and Tomose for creating such an incredible story. This marks the end of my main commitment to Daybreak, with anything further being additional commitments to other games.
Thank you once again to everyone who has followed and supported us since 2020, and a massive thank you to the team members for making this journey memorable.
Take care, and I hope to see you all when this game is released! (Hopefully soon!)
PS: FUCK YOU KINUGASA! I WIN, YOU HEAR ME?! I WIN! 6 FUCKING YEARS OF YOUR BULLSHIT!
Congrats on the huge milestone!
ππ Congrats
Congrats
Congrats and well done!
Where I can find translation patch for trilogy?
While a patch covering the three games isn’t out yet, you can read the first of the three. Everything is in the download page of our website.
