Hello. Another month, another funny. This one with better news than the last.
First things first: I have way less work right now, and I’ll be taking a month vacation in December, which means full-timing things here (queue clapping noises). I’ve already been advancing things, but not in the areas most of you expect.
Reminiscence Side Story
I got burned out from Majikoi, so I’m “detoxing” by working on the side story I promised to release along with the Akatsuki trilogy. It amounts to 7k lines (6997, to be exact) and I’m already over 30% done. The progress will be listed in the Shuumatsuron excel, and I’ll update it manually, because fuck automation. This will be done by mid november.

Majikoi A+
I got burned out from this. HOWEVER, once I’m done with Reminiscence I’ll get back at this and use my vacations to finish this by the end of december. This means there won’t be a release of this in december, but it’s okay, early 2025 will be stacked in exchange. Trust.
I know I said I’d release this by the end of the year, but to be completely honest I’ve been way busier than I anticipated. Apologies about that. What matters is that I’m still working on this, and I’ll positively be finished around december.
Akatsuki 3
While progress has stagnated for a while, things are picking up once more. The video editor has started editing the openings and endings, the final images are being done, and QA sloooowly advances on the last routes.
We’re also done editing the Drama CD, and we’re giving it a last check at the moment. We’ll add it along with Game 2 in the final release within the game.
While Kobra normally gives Tsujidou updates, I won’t because at the moment I’m obviously not touching it until I’m done with A+. The best estimate I can give is starting around January, and taking more or less a year to finish it (I think the game had around 45k lines or so?). Hopefully by the time I’m done we won’t be dusty skeletons.

Akatsuki is coming next year, yes. As for when, I wouldn’t be able to tell. Other than that, yes, Tsujidou san virgin road is the game.
Where can I download the patch for Akatsuki 2? The progress page says it’s finished but I can’t find the patch in the download section.
The game is finished, but we haven’t released a patch yet.
Lurker here again. As always, thanks for the updates. Youjitsu YR2 anime should be airing sometime early next year, so by all means, it’s a good time to be a Kinugasa fan, and even more so with the release of this trilogy, and his next eroge. Just that 1 cg of Reminiscence (1st one) truly makes me wish you’d TL the whole game, but I suppose that’s an ambition for a whole other time, given what last was said…yeah, annoying of me to bring this up again. My bad. Broken record too obsessed with seeing all related projects to their end here.
For Majikoi, actually, since the last comment on July, I resumed reading A1 ( which for some reason I stopped partway into for some years back) and it was pretty damn good, to the point I finished everything till A5, A5 after and even re-read all of S. Not sure what made me want to do that, but it happened, and so I now look forward to A+, which I suspect in Decembers update you might even release against all odds, owing to some Christmas spirit something something miracle.
Well then, I think I’ll read what’s left of the translated Minato soft catalogue now, before all else. Hope you enjoy your break.
Hello, mister lurker. Long time no see.
While the anime is airing early next year, my prediction is that until September 2025 the trilogy won’t come out for reasons explained in a previous post we made about it. The Reminiscence side story was purely done because of the continuity it has with the canon ending of game 3, but it was done purely as an extra wink to the fans. I do not believe Reminiscence is an improvement in Kinugasa’s storytelling, and considering all of the heroines are severely underaged compared to the protagonist, it just turned me off. Taking that aside, I hope this side story being eventually released encourages someone to do the Reminiscence duology, because it does deserve some kind of attention. Hell, I still remember when Astro supposedly revealed he did a 65% complete translation of the game (part of me thinks he lied to this day, not like it matters anymore).
In fact, I’d probably be comfortable saying that I will never touch anything that Akabei has done ever again unless some miracle happens. Dealing with that company directly as both someone who was offered to sell the translation one day was exhausting enough, not to say the poor treatment of their games and fans both locally and overseas.
As for Majikoi, do not expect a december release. It ain’t happening. December is when I will most likely finish translating Majikoi, but other than that there’s not going to be any significant progress update. Next year we’re looking at 3 or 4 releases (The remaining 2 trilogy games + the Reminiscence Side Story + Drama CD, Majikoi A+, and one polish patch we’re helping with for a final release, which I’m not sure if it’ll even release on our website as of now), so all things considered, there’s going to be activity. Next year’s also going to be busy with Tsujidou, and seeing how the upcoming patreon we’ll make performs.
