Hey there, everyone. It’s Bee, and here I am with a post to close 2024, look back on what we did this year, and what we’ll be doing next year.
The team had a meeting last Friday, where we discussed lots of super important matters, so consider this to be the TLDR version of it:
This year has been a transitional period for our team. Many of us started working here when we were around 20-22 years old (for context, I am 26 now), and since then, we have taken on jobs and responsibilities (some even girlfriends, the horror). This year, we have been adapting to our new lives and realities. I anticipate this trend to continue next year, but hopefully, we will eventually settle down and have more time for our projects. Personally, I have been hired to work full-time for a visual novel publisher (Cherry Kiss) and doing side jobs for another big publisher (can’t disclose yet), which has taken up a lot of my time. After completing Akatsuki 3 earlier this year, I needed a break from constant translation work, which has slowed down progress on fan translations (I admit I translated no more than 10k lines this year fan translation-wise, all of those belonging to Majikoi).

That being said, there have been a lot of things we’ve done this year: we finished the first short Majikoi game I promised to translate, and we’re on track to release A+ early next year. I finished Akatsuki 3 early this year, editing has also been completed, and QA is on their way to finish (Akemi’s route was completely checked yesterday, for example). We also edited a bunch of images, worked on a lot of side and extra content for the Akatsuki release (Kinugasa / Tomose interview, character descriptions, Drama CD, etc…) and I translated Kaito’s route for both the main game and fandisk of Reminiscence. These will come out with the trilogy release as a way to apologize for the delay we announced some months ago related to the trilogy release, which in theory should have happened this year (womp womp).
Though I also think it’s important to mention that over the years I definitely set a bunch of expectations, and I would also like to apologize for personally not being as active as I’ve been the previous years, and hope to return to form by 2025 (I’m so funny, right guys?).
Anyways, leaving that aside, 2025 is at our doorstep. 2025 is looking to be a very important year for us:
First things first, the Akatsuki trilogy, along with all the side content with did for it, will release at some point in 2025.
Majikoi A+ will be released as well either in Q1 or Q2 (accounting for editing and QA and all that stuff).
One of our QAs has been working on Yuzuki in his spare time, and he gave us a list of typos and stuff for a fix patch at some point next year.
Some after stories / routes of Tsujidou’s fandisk will be released (for sure the Renna / Ai / Maki After Stories).
We’ll also be opening a Patreon for those who’d like to support us monetarily along with the release of A+.
And that’s pretty much it! It’s actually a lot of things, but I think those are doable and realistic. More than that I cannot say, because it’d probably be unwise to promise things I cannot deliver in a reasonable time frame.
All that being said, I hope everyone had a nice year, and here’s hoping many of you are looking forward to enjoying what has been the thing we’ve been working towards the most the last 3 years (Akatsuki Trilogy). It’s been a long ride, but the end is finally in sight!
See you next year. Stay healthy, and go to church.
Bee
PS: I’ll leave some funnies, which came out of the translation / editing / QA process.

Good work so far, Bee.
I hope everything works out for you and the team in 2025.
Thanks for the support, friend!

Now I’m really curious what ending they’re talking about that was so absolutely awful.
I’m pretty sure the screenshot references Akemi’s route ending in Shuumatsuron.
Woohoo! \o/
Ganbatte, and keep up the good work!
Excited for the things coming next year, great work team!
i expect more yaoi in 2025
